I have been juried into this year's Maine College of Art and Design Holiday Sales at the historic Porteous Building at 522 Congress Street in Portland, Maine. I am listed under my studio name: ART SPIRIT STUDIO. It is a 2-day show and sale where you can shop for one-of-a-kind fine art from Art & Design faculty, staff alumni, and students. It will be on Friday, December 5th: 5:00-8:00 PM and Saturday, December 8th: 10:00am -4:00PM.

eI will be selling my small framed oil and watercolor paintings from the Allagash, Rangeley, and Monhegan island. I will also be bringing my brand new reprinted copies of my two artist residency books for sale," Katahdin: the mountain of the People" and "50 PLUS ONE, Inaugural Allagash Artist-In-Residence". These make excellent gifts and coffee table books filled with many of my paintings in watercolor and oil, not to mention the stories behind them. I also will be selling hand painted one-of-a-kind Christmas Cards. Proceeds from the sale go to support both we participating artists and MECA&D students.

Immediately after the MECA&D Holiday Show on Saturday December 6th I will be attending this year's Holiday Show at the Yarmouth Frame and Gallery. I will be at the opening in person between 4PM and 6PM and showing my work along with about 19 other painters, showcasing more than 100 works of different sizes, styles and mediums. The gallery is located at 720 Rt.1 in Yarmouth, Maine. call 207-846-7777 or go to yarmouthframeandgallery.com for details. Hope to see you at any or both these events!

My family and I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving and joy-filled Holiday Season,

Michael E. Vermette
